CCA MISSION FAQ's

CCA Mission tells our members’ success stories and supports the champions that work hard to achieve amazing results that improve health outcomes. At the same time, we tell the truth about the impact of bad policies that are built upon inaccurate information. Learn more by reading answers to some of our most frequently asked questions.

CCA Mission is a social welfare member organization established in 2026 that operates exclusively to support managed care organizations, like Commonwealth Care Alliance (CCA), that ensure accessible and high quality health care services with a focus on social determinants of health for individuals eligible to participate in government health care programs, like Medicaid.

CCA Mission has two objectives:

  • Educate the public and state and local government policy makers about the benefits of managed care; and
  • advocate for policies, legislation, regulations and government programs that promote health and improvements through managed care.

The education and advocacy efforts of CCA Mission are vital tools to ensure that the public and elected officials support legislation and regulations that align with CCA’s mission to make a lasting difference in its members’ live by improving their health and well-being.

  • By joining CCA Mission, you can help defend the industry from aggressive organizations and special interest groups that actively try to undermine managed care’s goals, operations, financial stability and programs.  These organizations and special interest groups often do not follow the same standards to ensure high quality health outcomes through managed care and are unfortunately very well-funded.
  • Outcomes matter! Every day, people who work for companies like CCA improve their members’ overall well-being.  We know this because we hear the member stories and celebrate their successes.
  • CCA Mission tells these member success stories and supports the champions that worked hard to achieve these amazing outcomes, while other special interests attempt to knock down these efforts and perpetuate the narrative of the greedy and uncaring insurance company motivated only by profits.
  • It’s important to tell the truth about the impact of bad policies that are built on bad information.  Supporting CCA Mission and the champions who ask questions and seek the truth, even when it is unpopular, can help combat the misinformation campaign.  “It is easier for the world to accept a simple lie than a complex truth.” – Alexis de Tocqueville

Political action committees solicit and pool voluntary contributions from individuals and then donate those funds to support or oppose candidates, including elected officials, and their campaigns.
